We are a team of highly qualified and motivated health professionals trained in the areas of occupational therapy, occupational health and safety, ergonomics, injury management, aged care and psychological intervention covering all regions of Sydney and Central Coast. We specialise in difficult and complex rehabilitation cases and have a history achieving successful and durable outcomes.

We are accredited with WorkCover NSW at Level 1 Compliance 96% conformity to Standards as a Rehabilitation Provider (number 442), and with Comcare as an Approved Rehabilitation Provider (number 572845).

Service standards are regularly reviewed with the client in order to maintain relevance and reflect any changes within the client’s organisation. We keep you well informed.

Judy Gardner, Director

Judy Gardner has been the Director and owner of Work Health Safety Matters since 2002. She has over twenty five years experience working as an Accredited Occupational Therapist in rehabilitation and as a consultant in OHS, both in the public and private sectors.

Wendy Kibble, Senior Occupational Therapist / Rehabilitation Consultant

Wendy is an Accredited Occupational Therapist with 20 years experience in hospital, community and OT services. She has completed a Masters in Public Health with a focus on health law. Her areas of expertise include ergonomic assessments, complex case management, functional and Activities of Daily Living assessments, development of OHS management systems, and work-based training programs.

Kylie Lee, Rehabilitation Counsellor

Kylie is a Senior Rehabilitation Counsellor with a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology. She has extensive experience in providing vocational rehabilitation services within the WorkCover, Comcare and CTP markets. She delivers training focusing on communication skills, team development and team building, personality profiling, stress management and conflict resolution and goal setting for both individuals and teams.

Elizabeth is an Occupational Therapist with a wealth of experience in public and private sectors covering Comcare and WorkCover workplace rehabilitation, medicolegal assessments, CTP insurance as well as provision of clinical and consulting services to clients with a range of physical disabilities and medical conditions. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Safety Science and worked as Manager of Workright Occupational Rehab Services.

07 Feb NSW: Guidelines for Reporting an Incident or Injury
WorkCover NSW has issued guidelines as to when to report a work-related incident. WorkCover NSW must be notified of all incidents involving a fatality, serious injury, serious illness or dangerous incident by phone on 13 10 50 as an urgent investigation may be needed.

With some states confirming their decision to delay the commencement of harmonised WHS laws, it is now understood that the full harmonisation of the laws won’t be possible by 1 January 2012. While the Northern Territory, New South Wales, ACT, Queensland and Commonwealth have committed to the commencement of the new harmonised laws, Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmania, and South Australia have decided to delay its implementation.
